Pioneer Walkway
One of the many spots in Osoyoos where you are greeted by the visitors and locals alike. The walkway is located along the lakeshore, and in the middle of the Motel district. Admire the plants and enjoy the scenery.
The International Bicycling and Hiking Trail
The trail extends from McAlpine Bridge, north of Oliver, along the Okanagan River to the head of Osoyoos Lake. You can walk or bike 18.4 kms on this scenic trail. Parts of the trail are paved making it wheelchair accessible.
Nk'Mip Desert & Heritage Centre's Village Trail & Loop Trail
Nk'Mip Desert & Heritage Centre explores the dynamic cultural heritage and the beautiful desert landscapes of the Osoyoos Indian Band. Guided and self-guided interpretive trails roll through 50 acres of sage grasslands and ponderosa pine forests. The wheel chair accessible trail includes interpretive signs, benches and shady ramadas where visitors can relax and enjoy the spectacular views of Osoyoos Lake and the surrounding cliffs.
Village Trail: The Village Trail is wheelchair accessible and is 1.4 km (return)
Loop Trail: The Loop Trail is 2 km and is a well-graded trail with some uphill sections.
Osoyoos Desert Centre
Take a guided tour and learn about desert ecology, ecological restoration and the conservation of this fragile ecosystem. This trail is on a 1.5 km boardwalk that winds through the arid shrubs and grasses to four interpretive kiosks.
